The Coat is the Fashion!

Growing up my mom would take me on an annual hunt for the perfect coat. There would be the everyday coat, the dress coat, and the raincoat. This was when I realized a coat was not just a "coat." My favorite btw was always the dress coat or what I liked to call, "the fancy coat."

Let's face it!! It is cold outside and it's only gonna get colder. What happens to most of us when winter arrives and the weather takes a turn for the bitter worse? Our style suffers for the sake of staying warm and dry.

These days there are so many options when it comes to outerwear that you can still serve a look and stay warm.

The Fun Coat

I cannot wait to pullout this beauty every fall/winter season. I often add a broach or two, a colorful scarf and hat. As you can see you don't need to do much more, she can definitely speak for herself. She is such a happy piece to have in your wardrobe and quite the conversation starter.

The Fur/Teddy Bear Coat

Can I just tell you that from the moment I spotted the teddy coat I was obsessed!! My original obsession was the Max Mara Teddy Bear Icon Fur coat (she cost a pretty penny)! Then there is the Proenza Schouler Faux Fur Belted Coat. There are so many great options of this style at every price point you just can't go wrong. The fur/teddy coat is a great opportunity to add a bit of texture to your wardrobe.

The Trench Coat

Whether you opt for the classic style or a more innovative contemporary style of the trench you can never go wrong. Over the years I've had both and loved both. The one I am wearing below is a more contemporary style by Vera Wang x Kohl's. This trench is over ten years old and she is still giving!
